The Iphone has revolutionized the cell phone world, and the Mp3 world with it's slick looks, easy to use interface and most importantly the look at me factor.
Yet with the recently released 3G and Apple's new Application module the Iphone has finally found a reason to be in the average Hot Rodder's pocket.  The application allows the user to use the internal accelerometer inside the Iphone and the Ipod touch to record many of the performance aspects of your car.
Here is the list of ways in which you could use the software staright from the companies website:

* Other Speed Tests (0-10 MPH through 0-100 MPH in 10MPH increments)

* Braking G's (current and peak)
* Wheel Horsepower

Results Presentation
* Realtime Speedometer and Graphs
* Realtime graphical skidpad display
* View results for latest test run or any saved run
* View averages based on vehicle, date, or modification
* Compare results between vehicles, dates, or before-and-after modifications
Configuration
* Rollout 0" to 24" (separate settings for 0-60 and Quarter Mile tests)
* Stores vehicle weight and drivetrain efficiency in your vehicle's profile
* Calibration routine gets the maximum accuracy possible with the built-in accelerometers
The system doesn't require any installation in your car and simply needs to be placed somewhere in your car where it's not going to have any movement and press a button to calibrate and off you go. Probably the best part about the software is the low price tag (if you don't include the steep price of the iphone in the first place) of about 13 bucks.
Heck, if I had an Iphone or a car worth using this in I would have bought it already!
